This NASA Hubble Space Telescope image of planetary nebula NGC 7027 shows remarkable new details of the process by which a star like the Sun dies.

New features include: faint, blue, concentric shells surrounding the nebula; an extensive network of red dust clouds throughout the bright inner region; and the hot central white dwarf, visible as a white dot at the center.

wait, wait, wait... let me get this straight... So scientists know pretty much how our sun will die, and in effect how earth and all life on earth will die...

Yet, we don't know how we come to be, and how life started? oh that's great, humans are more fascinated by our demise then our creation... talk about an anthem for doom.

'tis easier to destroy than it is to create.

and what about the poor fellows left behind? I'm pretty sure not everyone will be able to join us on a start trek.

If we survive that long, maybe by then people will have stopped their sh*t and just worked together for a change, up to us if it's Noah's ARK2.0 or Titan A.E

hmmm... Noah's Ark 2.0:

A flood of deadly Gamma rays, X-rays and Blurays (UV) will destroy the earth... it's up to Noah, or 62-dh4-sna-283 (since in a billion years time, names will be irrelevant) to save the world... He must build an Ark using anti-gravity engines, and beam across the galaxy out of harms way...

Too many wars being waged between evolutionists and the creationists at present so better to go the quieter doomsday rooms. You can hear yourself think :D

None of these so far from our sun. What a nice coincidence that we are in this part of the universe where we can examine other stars that are dying and then learn from it :p.

Define "evolutionist" and "creationist" please. I am having trouble finding a proper definition of either. Perhaps you can help me.

One takes the final cause as being non-divine and the other as divine, setting a whole train of sorry events into motion. Alternatively, one tries to be rationale and level-headed and the other prefers to be emotional and fanciful.

Further perspectives:

Such intricate detail could never be self-induced by any collective cells' self-willing with so much "luck" no matter what amount of time is concocted to justify it, in actual fact, the adding of trillions of years make the cells' clairvouyant also, which makes the phenomenon even more unbelievable to say the least.

There is some similarity between the evolution theory and the belief in a God. Both are complex and ambitious in trying to convey and sound plausible. One because it has taken up the challenge to try and piece together the past from a molecular level and model randomness. The other as it relies on a unquestioning leap of faith to accede to, in the face of tangible evidence to the contrary. One relies on appealing to the discerning and the other to the gullible. Which has a greater chance of success?

Evolution will make in-roads and perhaps reach a critical mass whereby 'luck' can be explained. Belief in God on the other hand with its 'have faith' will remain stagnant and implausible as ever.

Really? Please do elaborate on these intriguing definitions you just gave. Unfortunately I can't find any of these, so you are going to have to help me here.

I am sorry if you feel reality is a whole train of sorry events in motion though.

62-dh4-sna-283 working against all odds against the might of the Evolutionary Church that believes humanity should be re-born from the nebula explosion.

The makings off a book.

That's it in a nutshell. The rest is best opened within the safety of the PD forum pages :)

All approved modern textbooks used at universities and schools use outdated and incorrect information that has been proved wrong. 95% of all "evidence" of evolution has been proved wrong. If you want proof, listen to this download: http://www.lulu.com/content/293847.

The idea that great-great-great-grandpa was a rock is probably a bit more absurd than the idea of a God.

So all our pillars of learning, not one to allow any theory to lie dormant without the full rigours of scrutiny before adoption, have been wrong for centuries and the truth now lies in the cranks, so called scientists, and their cronies the Internet now allows an easy voice to. There are scientists and then there are those who would never have made the grade (could never attain the A's), and seek nevertheless a path of recognition (vanity!) via postulations long dismissed, but when shaped and embellished in the right way (a few 'I have the answer to Life, Universe and Everything' thrown in for good measure) will find favour amongst the masses that have a romantic inclination which conventional science cannot fulfil. The enlightened will not fall for such smoke and mirrors.

The idea that great-great-great-grandpa was a rock is probably a bit more absurd than the idea of a God.

Not really the idea, but at least the starting point is real and tangible whereas an entity such as God endowed with omnipotent and omnipresence has all the trade-mark of something brought into existence by the vivid imagination of man.

Your source of truth is Dr. Dino? The same oke currently serving 10 years in prison for tax evasion? The guy who doesn't have even a primary school-level understanding of basic physics and biology? The guy who attained his degree

Interesting, thanks. There goes the neighbourhood!
