DAMN...my fav TV character at the moment is THE STIG...And now, according to reports from the Mirror, THE STIG, known as Ben Collins - has been fired coz he's auto bio is due in September, in which he reveals his identity...those of us who live, breathe and ...erm, watch Top Gear repeats for years now would also know that the black overall wearing STIG before the WHITE overall wearing STIG also revealed his identity in his auto- bio...damn.

Aparently there is a NEW STIG but still sporting his famed White Overalls and White helmet. I wonder if he'll be any good like Ben Collins...

Anyhoo...when I buy my new car come Nov/Dec my numberplate will read THE STIG MP

This is old news... like last year already. Still with season 13ish, or even before that? Don't remember exactly.

(Fwiw, season 14 has been and gone already)
 
ahem... Season 15 is out already... i watched the first 5 episodes about 3 weeks ago...
 
Isn't this why the first Stig was fired as well?....

Yup Season 15 is done and dusted iirc....

And Season 16 is only due out next year, they pushed it out a bit.
 
Man the seasons are getting shorter and shorter!! They used to be nice and long! now they 6 episodes! wtf?? Someone tell the BBC to increase funding!!
 
Usually get 2 Seasons a year of 6 Episodes each.... but this time they're pushing out the next season till early next year for a variety of reasons

I got no clue what season were're supposed to be watching - so many freaking repeats on dstv it's not worth watching anymore!

when I get my mede8er I will get the full series from day dot till now and go through it at my leisure. *** dstv!!

I always laugh at people who watched something before you and ACT like they won a medal or somefing...LOL...dude, I'm standing up right now giving you a standing ovation for having watched 5 episodes of Season 15...Congratulations...well done mate...jeeez....that's was brilliant....encore! encore!!!! Dude I watch top gear season 17 before you were even born!
 
maybe the dude was tired of being the STIG and wanted out, could be a good publicity stunt to sell more of his book. this way, the guy gets to tell his story and the BBC/Top Gear get a "new" STIG who they can keep secret for another few years.
oh and yeah season 15 was good. the mobile homes episode was hysterical, the 458 was beautiful and the Veyron Supersports was simply insane.

The bombshell at the end of S15E06 was "that's it for the season and the series - goodbye"

Is there going to be a 16th season at all?
 
2 things surprise me:
  1. Ben Collins' name has been bandied about for years. Anyone curious enough could arrive at a fairly solid conclusion with a couple of minutes spent on google.
  2. There are people dumb enough to have actually taken the stunt with Micheal Schumacher seriously.
