The Super PSP Thread

can someone give me a good emulator to run the old pc quest games for example indiana jones and the last crusade.
Thanx

ScummVM. Don't even bother with anything else, this works absolutely brilliant.

Already finished Indiana Jones & Fate of Atlantis, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle on my PSP again. Busy now with Beneath a Steel Sky & Flight of the Amazon Queen.

There's a compatibility list on the site, but most of those old adventure games works without any problems. There's also links on the site to free adventure games, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Beneath a Steel Sky etc. Full speech versions.

Thanks :) just what I was looking for, need a bit of retro adventuring!

By the way... I installed RemoteJoy on my PSP, and am now running it 100%. There is one annoying issue I founf though. When you have the plugins enabled through the recovery menu and you run a game, even if you aren't RemoteJoying in the PC, and you exit the game via the Home button, it just freezes, forcing you to keep the power button up for just under a minute.

That is the only annoying thing about it. It plays legendly on my PC monitor :D Just too bad the textures and sprites look so bleh in fullscreen. Still, it rocks playing Ridge Racer 2 fullscreen! and at a steady and smooth FPS.

@ Retro

RemoteJoy: http://www.psp-hacks.com/2007/05/17/remotejoy-psp-video-out-via-usb

Description:

Update: DeMoN X has updated his RemoteJoy GUI to version 1.51:

Added full credits to TyRaNiD 2k6 for Remotejoy SDL and Schrade for batch files and script files, tutorial, and compiled binaries
Added killall batch to MyBase.Load
Accurate process checking of USBHost FS
Added mode menu, Not completed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tyranid has released an astonishing update to his development tools RemoteJoy and PSPLink. Used in conjunction with this new GUI app from DeMoN X, Windows users will now have the ability to display their PSP screen on a PC’s monitor via USB, hence the loosely used term in this scenario, “Video Out.” (It’s not really a video output.)

All the necessary instructions to begin using this wig-splitting setup can be found within the RAR archive — ReadMe-LibUSB.txt & ReadMe-RemoteJoySDL.txt.

Couple things I should mention… 1) You’ll require Microsoft’s .NET Framework, and 2) if you’re not using Windows, but Linux instead, read this detailed tutorial.

Otherwise, rock on! Obviously some things remain flaky — certain games may not work, and you may experience the odd crash.

Jeeze like, the PSP hacking community progress very quickley.

I need get my kido's psp updated.

the FW IS 30.3 OEC

Spose i need to read back a little on this thread.

MicroSD - Pro Duo Converter

I have been looking for a cheaper way to get memory for my PSP because the stuff from Sony is well expensive. I found this product:

http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product...2616&session=9a418df5a6321fccb85e79ade60bc758

I see also that Kingston and Twinmos also make something similar. Since as MicroSD are much cheaper, is it worthwile considering getting one of these? Has anyone got experience with this type of product - and most importantly, would there be a speed reduction because I dont know the specs of MicroSD vs Pro Duo.

Anyone know where I can get this from locally?

Why not try some of saffa's online retailers. You should be able to find it somewhere locally. Also, Bid or Buy is the cheapest place to buy the memory sticks. Just make sure that you read up on the person that you plan on buying from, Purchasers leave ratings and all.

I doubt that it is the end of this thread. It's more a like a slow down :) Untill the next big thing happens, or someone asks for help.
