The Super PSP Thread

God of War is cool. Very good graphics, nice gameplay.

I have only played for like 10 minutes, but promises to be enjoyable.

It does alot of the same, fighting styles, mini-games while fighting monsters etc. But as psp games go, its very well made.
 
I have a question that's probably been answered a million times before, but I've tried googling it and am getting weird answers.

Is the psp region locked when it comes to GAMES.

Meaning can I buy a local psp and order games from the us via take2 without modding the console.

any psp game bought will work on a un-modded psp.
the only hassle you might have is if your firmware is out-dated.
but most games come with the firmware needed to play it.
or just update it to the latest sony firmware update via internet or file download.
 
I am so impressed by the God of War on the psp, seen you guys mentioned it a bit.

I am really enjoying it, my new favourite after Jeanne D'Arc.
 
PSP parts

Hi Guys,

I'm just putting my feelers out here to find out if anyone needs spares. I recently had a huge cache of psp spares and it sold out frikkin' fast. I had LCD's, analog controllers, UMD drives etc. I haven't bothered with the casings. But if anyone is looking, let me know.

Also like Cerealkilia, I also unlock iphones in my area.

I want to help out where I can guys. Until later! :cool:

Ok. So on friday I bought myself a psp slim. Got with it Tekken, Wipeout pulse and Crash of the titans.

Just a question a couple questions.

How do I go about exchanging it as it has a dead pixel and Look and listen say they don't do it.

Also how long is Chains of Olympus? someone on another forum said it's only 5 hours long.

I'm gonna ty reading this thread from the beginning now. Wish me luck.

exchange your slim for a normal psp, the slimz are much harder to hack. not sure about how, but if you find a way - do it.
chains of olympus is great, not sure how long, busy playing it myself, think ive logged 4 hours and just killed that guy who crosses the river styx for the 2nd time. even if it ends now, still worth it, amazing game.
 
Slims aren't all that tough to hack.

GoW is about 5 - 10 hours long but it is worth it irrespective.
 
finished GoW last night...
now im trying the challenges, man they hard!
Sick game, really recommend it.
 
OK. So I'm starting to use psp video 9 to convert my movies.

What benefits are there to encode using avisynth as opposed to 2 pass?

Also does it affect the file size?

One other thing, my psp is firmware 3.71 yet there is no video folder. Only the MP_Root one. I thought with FM 2.8 all psps now have a video folder.

I just went and bought Lumines, Ridge Racer 2 and SSX on all for R440. Today is a good day.

Lumines is really a good game. It had me smiling while I was playing. My GF is going to love it and the music rawks.
