yeah if only i had a working wifi router for pimpz.
nick i used ones from a download pack..let you know which pack..o i know its called easy theme flasher for 3.40oe,I dont use the program,but i use the files that come with the program.You can flash all other thingz from 303,except the topmenu.rco.this must be convertered for 330 and 340
 
Thanks kev and mark, I'll check it out tomorrow. I'm getting bored with the default menu.
 
Of course I won't *crosses his fingers* :D btw, steve0 is now a proud owner of a 3.03 OE-C PSP.

I am using the Ultimate White top menu, and then a background that came with it, which I converted to a 01-12.bmp. I am also using one of my custom waves which I created a while ago.

I found that if you convert a bmp which you made to jpg, the size will decrease, and if you then convert that jpeg to the 01-12.bmp with the 01-12 bmp maker, that the size will still be tiny, and then it will work on 3.40 OE. It doesn't seem to like files that is 200KB and over.
 
Ok been absent from this thread for a while. So it seems like my sister fscked my PSP up and upgraded the firmware to 2.60 from some UMD movie.

Anybody know where I can purchase/borrow an unpatched GTA LCS?

edit: or is there a way to upgrade to 2.71 and then use the downgrader instead?

just upgrade to 2.71 or 2.80. is your psp motherboard a TA-082? I usually use the 2.80 downgrade. I find its very safe. then after you have downgraded to 1.5, just upgrade to 3.03 OE-C or even 3.40 OE-A if you wish.

Unfortunately I don't know of anyone else whom has a copy, other than steve-0, and it seems to be in demand. You can check out ebay, that's where I got my copy from, and it only took 4 days, even though it was a hefty amount to pay. They should be cheaper now, as the buzz has settled quite a bit.

I hope you gave your sis a klap :D - I'll never let my siblings touch my toys.
 
Hi guys. Firstly, thank you to Slick Nick for all his help over the past 2 weeks. Secondly, your PSP looks awesome, and dablamark8, I look forward to your pics as well. Lastly, Highflyer GP, I got a copy of GTA you can buy/borrow in the Dbn area, but from what I understand, you wont need it, as it is only for those with 2.81-3.03.
 
:cool: Can anyone point me in the right direction for making backups of my UMD's? I got a few and it would be nice to be able to put them on my memory card and not have to worry about carrying around the games as well. Im sure I have seen a thread somewhere, only I cant find it now. PS1 games as well, I have a heap of them, and it would be wicked to be able to play them again.

Im lost. You said your sister upgraded to 2.6. Well downgrading doesnt require the LCS UMD.

just upgrade to 2.80, downgrade to 1.5, then upgrade to OE

Yeah that's what I was wondering - read somewhere that the only way to downgrade from 2.60 was via GTA. But that was probably before the 2.71/2.80 downgraders were available. So this is the better way to do it then?
