The Super PSP Thread

No prob hey.

That website is owned by Nada (hopeanjul) from Bid or Buy. The one with the shop in Edenvale.

I've always had a hckedpsp, I bought it like that for R500 from a kid with crazy eyes .

I've ordered a 1gig PSP pro duo stick from the east, but it looks like it will take a while to arrive.

Can I use my 4gig stick and PSP battery (bought a spare) to create the Pandora stick / battery. Anybody in Cape Town Northern Suburbs with a 3.5+ mod bios where I can create the Pandora stick / battery?

Where did you buy a spare battery in the Western Cape? I was looking for one a while back and couldn't find any?

Just buy any replacement battery and then Pandora your original one. Battery packs can be found all over the net.

Change your XMB

I saw earlier in this thread someone changed their XMB to look like the XBOX 360 XMB. I think it was Kev. Anyway, this plagued me, as I sooooo wanted to do it as well, and lo and behold today I finally did it.

It doesn't use the PTF files, those just change the icons and background in your current XMB, which is fine for some people. These other XMB themes are ones which you copy to your Flash 0, replacing most of the files in there. It makes for quite a dramatic change as to how the XMB looks and also how it feels. I am currently running Organ and it is super sleek and sexy.

If you want to check out all the available ones, you can browse them here.

Have fun!

*bump* It's sad that this tread has to be bumped everytime.... Anyway...

Now us 3.71 M33 okes and ladies can take snapshots of our kitted out XMB's using Coolj's latest screenshot plugin.

Go here.

I'm going with 3.52m33 for now

Besides I can't seem to get hold of 3.71 apart from that crappy Rapidshare

PSP on TV

Hi there people of the dedicated PSP thread.

has anyone hooked up an external HDD to thier PSP yet?
has anyone already connected thier PSP to TV yet?

if so how is it? is is just like a cool medi center without tv reception or not?
does the psp come with a remote?

i don't have a psp yet but considering this.

thanks for any advice or info

Hi there silas,

I have seen some video of people hooking up their PSP's to a TV and playing a movie through it. The quality is basically DVD worthy if you play it from a UMD. If you have encoded it, then the quality will be whatever you made it.

Unfortunately there is no remote control for the PSP. You will have to manipulate the video from the PSP, this shouldn't be a problem if you have a long AV cable attached to it. It is sort of a Media Center, but not one at the same time :) You can play your movies on the TV as well as your games.

ya it looks like the psp might be lacking, woulda be fun if it can be tuned up like the way i was hoping, that way i can buy one hook it up to my LCD the and tadaaa a portable fancy media center console..... but i guess this means building my own media center pc this weekend.......dang!!!! thanks a lot guys
