LOL! Shame dude, it's hard to believe that you have to wait this long for a PSP. What website have you checked out? And also which stores did you visit? Let's hope that you get a PSP that you will be able to downgrade, else you won't be having as much fun as we are

You could always check out the classified here on the myadsl forum, maybe you can strike it lucky and get a modded PSP with some games.

I went to 3 shopping malls (Canal Walk, Somerset Mall and Tyger Valley). I contacted CaCell.co.za and another (i'll call them WeHaveYourHardEarnedCashButNotYourPSP for now). ALL out of stock. CRAZY.

considering to cancel my order with WeHaveYourHardEarnedCashButNotYourPSP.

Thing is I'm leaving for the states on Tuesday 3 April and was hoping to have it by then. gmffff.
And I hope that it is not going to be a mission to get my money from WeHaveYourHardEarnedCashButNotYourPSP.

is there a shortage of psp's? I saw some selling at Toys R Us. I think.
I tried out the new PS3 there, they didnt have it connected to a HD TV, and I was only playing Carbon, so I really couldnt 'feel the magic'
ill stick to psp (mobile) and pc (games and internet and movies) thanks.

I am TOTALLY new to this. Homebrew, custom firmware etc etc.
forgive my ignorance but I purchased region 2 games and a couple of umd movies...will they work fine on custom firmware?

Actually i am in pe at the moment.will be in cpt next week.
the games sand movies wil work fine .if there is a problem,then there is a hack in the recovery menu for all regions,but i doubt this will be the case that youv wont be able to play them unless ther require firmware 3.10 or the new firmware just released 3.30

I have been playing with that themeswapper, and to begin with it worked cool. Now it keeps corrupting. Turns out my flash0 is getting full, and so it cannot complete the write of the background pic. So I took my backup (yes I actually backed up b4 I messed around) and deleted my flash0 and then put the old files back on. Funny thing though is that the same error occured, and it has like 352kB left on the flash0. So what can I do? is there a way I can clear my flash0 or clean it or something? If it messes up settings, its ok, because I backed it up (as long as I can get to recovery mode).

Any help would be appreciated.

down load a program called flash agent at www.qj.net.latest version please
install to psp then go into menu and select free flash 0 space.This will free space on your flash0.
then go to recovery menu in flash agent then select restore original stuff and go through all of them restoreing,after its done then your psp will be ok.
Just remember that some programs will not restore your original gameboot.pmf,
Do this manually.
Any probs just post it or get me on yahoo...(sutitz) after 7:15pm)i will see waht i can do to help..enjoy.
