anytime mate. Oh, a friend of mine bought a PSP second hand and got a few original UMD's. One happens to be the Liberty City Stories. Now, how do I check if its patched or unpatched?
 
put it in and see what the update says.If it says update 2.0 then its da one.If it says anything higher than that,then its not.

lol, no prob. Yeah I think he would sell it. I told him that if it is the correct one, I know people that might want to buy it so they can use it to help people downgrade, he seemed keen at the time. I will phone him now and tell him, when he has checked it I will let you know.

OK, I spoke to him now, he will ask his chick if she is cool with selling it (after he has checked whether it is the correct one or not). I told him if he sells he can still play on a diff version of GTA, but that the unpatched disc was special.. I will let you know what he says.

to answer about the linux on psp,there is a 1.0 firmware eboot,a linux homebrew which i tried to run a long time ago.IAll hat came in the screen was random figures and numbers,and that was it.Sorry man but check www.qj.net for a linux eboot.
 
is there so little psp owners on this forum,I see 4000 views,whats up,no questions,is the hacking scene dieing out.I dont think so as there is so many things like the new 3.30 firmware open edition coming soon by spains number one export hacker
 
I have a question.

My friend and I both have 3.03 OE-C

But his cant play ISO's and mine can. His came from v2.00 which we downgraded to 1.5 and then up o 3.03 and mine came from 1.5 straight to 3.03 OEC. I have to go make sure he is using the 3.03OE-C kernel and not the 1.5 one later, but he says he is. so I dont know what to suggest?

Also dablakmark, his GF doesnt want to sell Liberty City (I am still not sure if it is unpatched or not because of his unwillingness to sell). I told him there was a guy selling a patched version for R80 so he could still have the game, but he is still not really willing. If i get him to change his mind I will let you know, cos it seems a tad unreasonable imo.
 
ok well I got his ISO's working. I remember that No-UMD had to be enabled.
 
using the no-umd option as enabled with will work with some games, but not all. I prefer to leave the option disabled and then leave my demo disk in the umd drive. all iso games will then work.
