Making a tasty toasted sandwich is not as easy as it sounds. I am looking for your take on the subject and your favorite recipes for a proper toasted sandwich.

What makes a SUPER toasted sandwich?

My favorite is ham, mustard and a slice of cheddar cheese. Let it cool a bit though mustard keeps a pretty high temp.

Otherwise bacon and banana is also awesome and I have also been partial to a toasted chicken and mayo

Toasted Cheese sandwich. With Gouda and Prima Donna Fino cheese, drizzle some Black Gold Balsamic Reduction over it and enjoy.
Tip - if you are a parent - get some Silicone Toaster bags for making quick toasted sandwiches. No mess, no fuss.

Bacon and blue cheese.

Blue cheese can do (an indeed taste) quite nicely without the blue part.

The blue part is unhygienic, unsanitary and just down-right revolting.

Ok, the BEST sandwich is as follows:

Chiabbata Roll
Slice of roast lamb (this can be left over from Sunday Lunch)
Cherry Tomatoes (fry them a bit in olive oil with garlic / salt / pepper)
Feta Cheese
Mustard
Mint Jelly

To make:

Slice the chiabatta bread open, and smear dijon mustard on the bottom part. Put the roast lamb slices on top of that, then add your halved cherry tomatoes that has been fried, and then crumble up some feta over that. Then, add the mint jelly on the top part of the roll, and close. Enjoy.

This is heavenly!!

Yeah, that's me too, nom nom.

If you're feeling really lazy, make some toast, butter it, spread peanut butter on, salt to taste, then whack it under the grill until the peanut butter starts bubbling. You'll notice it starts to go dark brown.

Do not put it straight in your mouth because you will get blisters.

Fry up some onions and greenpepper.
Fry Bacon.
Take a baguette and butter it.
Add Onions & Green pepper on, and then the bacon.
Add Cheese (Preferably both cheddar and mozzarella)
Add some salt & origanum.
Put in oven until bread is crispy and cheese is meted thoroughly.

BAM. foodgasm.

Ahh the uncivilized and their lack of taste :p

Not to worry ...

I'm use to being called derogatory terms with regards to my culinary expertise. Even though my skills is rudimentary at best ...
