A ceasefire is on the cards. Assad has said he's willing to go at elections. Russians have also said they're willing for something like that.
This is not an existential war between Nazi Germany and Mother Russia. This can be stopped and compromise can be reached. Of course it's too much for some who will get an attack of the vapours. Of course it is an existential war against ISIL. Those guys are not likely to compromise and join a power sharing govt. They're more radicalised than the Taliban and in fact are making in-roads against the Taliban too.
Are you pro despot Assad?
Yeah terrorists don't want anything to do with elections and the FSA seems to be miles away from cooperating with Russia and Assad at this stage.
Now to you Seriously. Why is the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights credible? Is it an unbiased source?

Then I suggest the FSA swallow their pride and co-operate. That can end most of the bloodshed outside of the ISIL and Al Qaeda areas immediately.
Which agency based in Syria, reporting in Syria is truly unbiased? Its not like we have an OSCE type organisation operating from out of there. Anyone can make just about any claims about any of the sources supposed credibility, such is the quagmire of Syria.
OK, as long as we keep that in mind and take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.
BTW the Western media is also biased. How do I know? Because when they report things I have personal on the ground knowledge of they push ideology and even lie by quoting propagandists. One can easily see the hatred.
How credible is the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights?
Yeah as if its as easy as that, you're talking about guys that have been fighting for four years and have lost their entire families to Assad. They certainly dont trust Russia or Assad. They are most likely going to need more than just some kind of sketchy vote as well, i cant even imagine how that would work.
not sure, why do you ask ?
I would imagine a cease fire is the No 1 priority at the moment as well as a co-ordinated anti-ISIS effort, for the sake of millions of civilians on both sides.
And of course people on both sides have lost loved ones.
Because they're quoted often enough as though they were reliable and unbiased.
Do you think ISIS will want democratic elections?Ask the people of Syria. They started the Arab spring! Assad and his cohorts killed his own citizens! Now stop your AntiGanda!

Right but they will need more assurances than just a ceasefire, they will think Russia and Assad will use the ceasefire to be able to reposition their forces. So just a ceasefire wont work, something else would need to take place in conjunction with the ceasefire.
By that same token you would think RT, Sputnik and Zerohedge are reliable, the amount they get displayed about on this forum.
Those things can be ironed out. Didn't the Russians want peace talks between Assad and opposition. Nothing is stopping Obama and Cameron from standing behind the friendly Islamist fighters of the FSA in such talks, or maybe Obama organising talks of his own.
Do you think ISIS will want democratic elections?
Sure but there are so many ifs and its all incredibly complicated at this stage, no where near as easy as you seem to imply. I imagine one of the first demands the rebels have will be that Assad cant run if there are to be elections.
