I have 2 brothers and a sister who were all very ... easy?... so I didn't have to have a talk. I knew all the things at a young age
My 8 year old daughter is starting to ask some difficult questions.
More a case of me not being ready for her to be ready to be honest :-(
My wife had the talk with my daughter a few months back. She turned 8 in August.
Lots of good books available to help with this...
Single parent unfortunately...
Yes, I got a book from a friend over the weekend and we started with the first few pages last night.
She was udderly disgusted at the idea of boys having tad-poles![]()
Parents never gave me the talk as a kid. Sorta learnt it at a young age in the street with friends.
Kids sorta start knowing these things based on what is shown on movies these days, also sex education in schools.
Good morning
Based on some of the excellent advice given in this thread I invited a few of my daughter friends over for a movie night last night put on a blue movie.
problem solved.

I was told a man's P**** goes into a woman's V***** when I was young and later at the age of 12 I was given a age appropriate book on the subject,so no official talk as such. How old were you when your parents had "the talk" / did you have "the talk" with your child(ren)
The loudest my daughter got (I heard her from across the house) was 1 single word.
"INSIDE?!?!"
That's the problem these days - no one cycles to school anymore, there aren't any bicycle sheds left, so where are kids supposed to learn this stuff?
