The silent one for R3500 is a very good deal, normally R7500.
The main issue with air compressors is the noise, a silent one is a game changer, I didn't even know they made such big ones.

I have zero need for an air compressor and it will stand there doing nothing for very long periods of time, but I am still tempted to buy this just to have it..

At the same time, I have been eyeing a cordless nail gun, but given how pricey they are, I could instead get three air nail guns for the price of a decent cordless nailer...

Temptations, decisions and frivolous spending...

What is a man to do..

I went the air nail gun route as I already had a compressor (again hardly used, but great for cleaning the garage, the occasional pneumatic tool, cleaning out garden power tools (like chainsaws etc)

Get a spray gun(even the R300 cheapies work great) and that compressor won't be lying idle for long!

Yeah this is actually part of my holiday plan - I have a ton of old pavers I want to paint for garden paths.

My Ryobi came with a kit, spray gun, air gun etc.

tbh id call that nit picking at the price and you can use the normal bits of your own on it
but up to you
Was merely making an observation. It's sitting in my basket whilst I look for a few other items to add as stocking fillers.

Has anyone else noticed the Ingco/Total drill chucks are pretty rubbish?
Even the metal keyless chucks on their more expensive cordless drills struggle to hold a drill bit.
I've just been drilling a 4mm hol in aluminium and 13mm chuck can't hold the drill bit when the going gets "tough", I can't seem to tighten it any more either, it just can't take it.

There's nothing most irritating than a slipping chuck, I'm thinking seriously about getting one of the cheap Bosch or Dewalt cordless drill just to have a drill with a decent chuck.

Can confirm, the bosch and dewalt chucks hold drill bits. Sometimes I even use a SDS bit in my Dewalt. No issues.

Can this be used with an impact driver (for car DIY stuff) or would I need something bigger?

Would a battery impact driver not be cheaper and quieter?

I mean you looking at R2k plus just for a compressor, then the gun?

Most car mechanics youtuber dont even run air tools as much. Its all battery powered. And some of them are proper workshops with paying customers.

A small wrench on the adendorf site says:

Max Torque315 NM
Air Consumption4.2 CFM (119 L/MIN)
Operating Pressure6.2 BAR (90 PSI)

That compressor says:
Output power at 7 bar: 76 L/min

So its probably too light for anything other than one bolt every few minutes with a small air wrench.
