New Toyota RAV4 GR-Sport handed fresh TRD upgrades
Toyota’s TRD division has handed the new RAV4 GR-Sport a selection of upgrades to elevate this model’s sporty proviso.
TRD (Toyota Racing Division) Japan has released a fresh selection of upgrades for the new RAV4 GR-Sport, allowing customers to specify this model with a variety of sporty exterior elements. Included with the selection are a GR front spoiler, which is approximately 32 mm longer than the standard item, side skirts that are around 22 mm lower than the original items, a rear bumper spoiler, and a new roof-mounted rear spoiler. The parts package also includes new 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
In addition to the exterior upgrades, TRD also offers customers the option of specifying a GR ‘Performance Damper’, which has been specifically designed for this model. According to the brand, the setup enhances NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) suppression while driving, and improves ride comfort and high-speed stability.
Those with a keen eye will notice the model pictured here employs a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. The 2.5-litre PHEV-equipped RAV4 GR-Sport produces 227 kW, delivered to the road via all four corners.
