The tree huggers at it again...

And it's not as if two flights is gonna make a big difference. :D
Dodgy logic there. Just because we are pumping thousands of tons of co2 into there air doesn't justify pumping another 50 tons...especially when the benefit received from doing so is minor.

Also, being rich is not an automatic permission to pollute. (Although it does seem that way the way things are going:eek:)

So if a Lambo technician flew to Qatar to fix it and flew back isnt the same thing??

I'm pretty sure one can cram more people on a 747 than lambos. Anybody want to volunteer their lambo.:D

Anyway....I'm not a saint myself...but this stuff is going to stay in the atmosphere for 100s of years and we only have a limited "allowance" of greenhouse gases before the shyte hits the fan. We should be using that "allowance" carefully.

Or one can take the "its already too late anyway" approach. And given human nature I reckon were going that route by default.:(

I don't understand? he is simply taking his vehicle to a reputable mechanic to have it properly serviced so it will be safe, and less damaging to the enviroment. what if he took it to the corner garage, and they just caused it to smoke more than usual!?

ok...but seriously though - millions of people fly/drive/cruise/take a train to get somewhere,i'm sure for even more useless things than he did....who is anybody to point a finger?

atleast he probably gives more money to hungry little children than anyone of us.

I spoke to a few ferrari owners at ferrari day and like every few years they have to send their car to monza in italy to get serviced . .They HAVE to send them there

ah its just something they can brag about, he dude, listen, i got my car serviced yesterday, in italy. yeah i know, the local ferrari dealer can do the job, but i want my baby to be checked by the people who build it, than sipping from a fine glass of champange

I cannot believe the ignorance on here.

HavocXphere I am totally with you on this one. That same Lambo owner probably also has a bunch of Hummers in his garage. Would be interesting to see what his entire carbon footprint was... I bet he'd be a multiple of at least double digits if not triple digits what yours and mine is....

And you know what the ironic thing is? No matter how much money he has it will not help him, or his descendants, when we are all frying or drowning from global warming one day...

If the plane was flying there anyways whats the big deal? Im sure the plane didnt just have the lambo on it...

Thats like saying we should ban international postage and rather get people to email letters because it has to be flown... And thus poluting the air and screwing the trees over ;)

We should all be doing our bit no matter how small... it is not someone else's problem. It is all of ours. But then again the human species as a whole has never been too bright when it comes to things like this.

Your argument is full of assumptions as someone this rich probably flew it there in their own private Boeing! But let's imagine you are right, then the car would have been taking space on the flight. It would have been adding weight to that flight. It therefore would have had an overall effect.

And the derogatory use of the term tree huggers is really infantile.... we should all be thanking them for the fight they are waging for all of our benefit.

Well yours is also full of assumptions... You're assuming he had his own boeing ;)

But then people should rather bitch and moan about all the tanks that America is flying to Iraq, they are sure as hell heavier than a lambo and pollute a lot more... And for what? So innocent people can day and we can pay more for fuel...

Im just saying there is bigger things that can be done... All this press just over one lambo, one plane... That isnt the problem...
