Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur.
Articles should be open for "fair" comment otherwise what's the point of posting it in the first place...? (unless it's only me that can't comment).Want some cheese with that?
Fair comment, yes.Articles should be open for "fair" comment otherwise what's the point of posting it in the first place...? (unless it's only me that can't comment).
Otherwise the partner article should surely be sufficient if it's just an ad.?
Nothing has been happening there as we can't commentFair comment, yes.
But that's not what has been happening there, is it?
No, not here....Nothing has been happening there as we can't commentIf you're talking about "here" then what qualifies as "fair" comment..?
Is it still happening?Personal experience as a customer..? I agree slander should not be part of the equation but relating what happened should not be seen as unreasonable.
I know what you're referring to and I'm not talking about comments beneath the article (ad) itself but posting in the associated threads themselves. No, not here....
The previous articles had comments enabled. Go back and read them in the "partner content" sub-forum.
I am totally objective in this issue. It just gets a bit boring when it gets dragged into every single thread... when not always justified.I know what you're referring to and I'm not talking about comments beneath the article (ad) itself but posting in the associated threads themselves.
Unfortunately for OW they have managed to scar their ex customers so badly when parting with them that the majority of the community feel the need to warn potential new customers. Some of those old feelings always seems to flood into the comments at some point which is understandable although not always appropriate for the forum.
I don't have a single drop of sympathy for them as they had none for me when I eventually managed to be rid of them.
I left them around May this year, they were still shaddy and I doubt anything has changed seeing they have been doing it for a while now. I think its fair to allow people to express they experiences with themI know what you're referring to and I'm not talking about comments beneath the article (ad) itself but posting in the associated threads themselves.

Which is why this thread exists...I think its fair to allow people to express they experiences with them
Pissing in the wind.
When I look at posts from some of their current customers it doesn't seem like much has changed(minus cavedog who is a reseller and only for their capped accounts according to him) .I am totally objective in this issue. It just gets a bit boring when it gets dragged into every single thread... when not always justified.
At the end of the day it's still up to the consumer to make the final decision for themselves.
Exactly what OpenWeb were doing when articles were posted with comments enabled![]()
Fair comment, yes.
But that's not what has been happening there, is it?
Do you have concrete proof that your allegations are valid to ALL Openweb products? And who fault is that its all negative comments?
Why only disable comments on Openweb articles? I yet need to find an article about other ISP with the comments disabled, we all know Afrihost network is horrible atm and only negative comments. To be fair MyBB should disable comments on all negative ISP articles, but again Openweb paid MyBB to disable the comments.
So if I steal from one person it's not important and doesn't reflect badly on me because I didn't steal from everyone?Do you have concrete proof that your allegations are valid to ALL Openweb products?
