I hope he sues, not that it will change what happened to him but it's a start.

She should spend the next 10 years behind bars being gang raped everyday, maybe then she will understand what it means to be raped. If they really wanted to to nail her, she should get raped and spend 2 years in prison.

Sick bitch.

Wonder who'll be looking after the kids while she sits in jail.

That really is not going to help anyone. You now sound just as sick as she does.

Something like this happened to a friend of mine. He was a cad to be sure, cheating on his fiance with a friend of hers, but he more than paid for it when he broke things off with the friend & reconciled with his fiance.
Evidently promises had been made to friend he'd been cheating with, and she was really not amused when he decided to patch things up with his fiance it seems - hell hath no fury, and all that. Two days later the police knock on his door & say "Sorry sir, but a rape charge has been laid against you and you need to come with us. We're very sure it's bogus, but we *have* to arrest you".

He spent 23 days in Westville prison before they managed to get him out on bail, and he did not have a whole lot of fun while he was there at all.

+1

She should be sentence to double what he was originally sentenced too. He might have have been sodomised in prison.

3 years is a joke.

Eish, so what happened? Did the woman admit to false accusations?

Well, the rape case is still in process, but everyone concerned knows it's a bogus accusation, including the prosecutor - in a funny turn of events, he's also a friend of mine, though I've tried to not discuss this with him too much so there's no question about conflicts of interest & so on.
So far as I know there hasn't been any action taken against the woman who laid the false charges yet, but from what I understand will happen, as soon as this actually goes to trial and the charges are dismissed, the presiding magistrate & investigating officer will immediately lodge charges against her. I'm not sure what the charges will be, but things like defeating the ends of justice and crimen injuria come to mind.

So they had to convict him because she said rape, and not that there was any other evidence against him. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

This whole trial by jury thing scares me. There have been known cases where juries actually ignored scientific evidence etc but let their emotions get the better of them.

"After she returned, her pals were furious that she'd ditched them -- so she made up the rape story to gain their sympathy. "

:wtf: Such a bloody dumb reason 2!!!

Poor bloke must of been rejected by his friends and family.
At least she came clean now.

I agree with you there. How many innocent people have gone to prison because the prosecutor was able to get an emotional verdict out of a jury, only to find out 10 or 15 years later it was the wrong decision. They should then go to jail for 10/15 years for ruining the persons life.
