howzit guys..

ok, coming over from the massively successful P990i thread, and now owning a sony ericsson P1i, i would like to invite all P1i owners to get together and share there experiences on what i would call... a damn good phone.

i broke my p990 by accident, and insurance paid out and i went the iphone route. what a magic device, but after a couple weeks of use the shortcomings of apples first attempt at a phone really started to bug me, and when my mtn contract came up for renewel i didnt hesitate coming straight back to SE...

how many other ex p990/p910 owners now have p1i?

Why not make this an official thread ;)

My story was posted on the P990i forum, so I won't repeat it here. But I was also forced to move from my P990i to a P1i
 
haha, do i have the rights to make it official ? :) what qualifications do i need on this forum?

i did a software upgrade yesterday thru SEUS and wow even on the P1 it has made a massive difference. there are even graphical changes to when you write on screen now etc..
 
My contract is due so my P1 is awaiting for me back at work. Am on holiday right now so just missed receiving my P1 before I went off to holiday. My P990 works fabulous so hopefully I made the right choice over the Nokia E90...

Has anyone got this phone - how is your experience with it?

I see it is available on MyCall100 for free...
 
I am about to buy a P1i. I did like my P990i, except for the size. I then got an M600i which was one of the better phones I had! I'll post my thoughts on the P1i when I've got it :-)
 
very cool phone, the "power" of a P990 in a smaller phone, the phones surprisingly fast interface makes it lekker to play with!!

It lacks HSDPA but thats about it.

the sms ringtone thing was my only gripe....
 
Agreed. It's a really enjoyable phone. Gives me very few hassles.
