The unstoppable Linux Litebook

If I had to have a laptop, I'd want it to be something like that. Affordable, running Linux and good battery life.

It seems to have an m.2 slot since they offer an SSD upgrade that doesn't replace the 512Gb platter drive. Pretty sweet...as others have said, a netbook with actual usability (nicer form factor, higher res screen, non-Atom CPU).

yes it has a m.2 slot. ram is not upgradeable but 4GB with linux is plenty.

And at that price you won't mind opening it up and adding an M.2 drive yourself.
I'm liking it more and more. Cheaper and far more usable than a tablet + BT keyboard for taking meeting notes, writing on the go and so on.
And the OS is based on Ubuntu, so you could just switch it out for full Ubuntu or Mint if that's your preference. Ditto the Office suite, for those who are complaining. Although, why not just use Google Docs is beyond me, in this day and age. (Free, highly functional, feature rich, and works on everything - phones, tabs, iRubbish devices, PC's etc.)
