Did anyone else notice that the one woman in the party being trained to fight looked like a zombie? She wouldn't even need makeup

Just got round to watching the episode and now I've dared to open the thread to catch up :p

Agree completely about the daft construction of the fence, but I think the church crashing through it at the end would be enough to topple over the fence in the way it happened. If you look at the end scene you'll see that it is not the fence posts that bend (impossible with those RSJ's and that force), but the ground that gives way where they are placed. Obviously not such a deep hole and maybe not so much concrete as well, so the force of the tower as it hit the top of the fence, (conveniently the tower is about the same width as a single panel) sheared the frame used as bracing at it's weakest points (close to the posts) and created a perfect lever to lift out the posts from the softer ground.

Zombies are now only a threat in large numbers.
Can't they let in a fewb ombies at a time to be killed. Do this for long enough and they gone.

So what would be the perfect zombie/walker trap near your end-time dwelling?

Trench with spikes?
House near a cliff with a loud decoy (i.e. spinning wheel) on the edge of the cliff?
Big wall with lockable revolving door (like WaxLyrical said, let them in one-by-one and off them.

Someone will be bit, the odds are stacked against it not happening. Especially if done by hand. They will lose at least 5 - 10 people.

And do what with the thousands of rotting bodies? This process will take a long time. Also brings me to the topic of disease...all this millions of rotting corpses littering the country side. Can't be good.

Trench would just fill up and walkers would cross easily. House on cliff already used in The Last Man on Earth, so probably very few left in USA, conveniently placed.

The only way would be to get to an island. In USA places like Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket springs to mind. But on an island water and agriculture is always a problem.

During a zombie outbreak, the result is inevitable. Sheer numbers will rule and destroy...like the ANC.

In the book of World War Z, the sea didn't stop the zombies as they would appear on islands as well after walking along the sea bed.

Surprised the sharks didn't eat them.... Also I am sure if they tried to walk along sea bed they would end up floating?

It will be the last episode for the Fall season. I expect major cliff hanger at end. Long drawn-out build-up to outside team getting back to the town. Episode will end where outside team is fully united and witness the tower's collapse.

Really hoping it's not a flashback episode leading to a cliffhanger :(

That's what I have predicted: watch this space.
