The weight loss thread

Thanks for using your valuable time to set me straight.

I will probably ignore it, but at least you did your good deed for the day.

You probably will, seeing as you keep on wanting to trumpet about how you have the only master plan to lose weight, and how you did so back in the 1900's, and have still kept the weight off to this day... :)

I am surprised that he has time to talk. Someone with such knowledge on the subject is probably at the winter Olympics instructing all the athletes on how low carb diets will make them win gold, and how modern medical science is the bad bad man.

I'm confused. I was under the impression that your body prefers to take muscle as fuel unless you put in copious amounts of protein and doing heavy lifting. What is the secret?
No, you don't need copious amounts of protein . An average adult should aim for roughly 1.2–1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day to maintain muscle, especially during weight loss or ageing.
Eating significantly less than this, particularly while in a calorie deficit, increases the risk of losing muscle rather than fat.

I started a mostly carnivore diet on Monday to quickly do a bit of a cut. Hope to drop 10kg before end March from 95kg

Oh boy, fattest I've ever been. Target is 20kg down, to 97kg, in four months.

So first week of carnivore went okay.
During the week I was about 90% carnivore. I needed some sugar and coffee after gym.
On the the weekend I didn't stick to it and had takeaways and pasta.

Was a bit of a weird feeling still craving normal food but being full after a big meal the first few days. I have done a bit of keto and fasting before. This felt completely different.

Also a big reason for me to do this is I got too addicted to snacking and drinking coffee all the time during the day. That's fixed already I think.

Down 2kg for first week. 93kg

I discovered Black Jack Cape Pale Ale is very low in calories/kj.

Only 24 calories or 100 kj per 100 ml. Tastes great and 4% alcohol. It’s 20% less than Castle Lite.
