Reminder for myself and hopefully some others.

Starting the year with 99kg, which is about 20kg overweight as per BMI chart.

Plan is to reduce up to 2kg per month by lot of exercise and changes in diet.

Let us see how it works out. :)

Started with 99kg on 1st January and today 97.7 but it could be just fluid loss though as I have heard that any diet & exercise gets reflected on weighing scale only after 2 weeks or so ?

I will take anything as encouraging at this stage. :p

I am about 10Kg overweight yet at my ideal weight, for my 1,92m body, BMI still regards me as obese. Many videos on YouTube will show you as one put it, 'BMI is dogshit'. It does not take into account your bone density nor muscle mass. Bodybuilders are typically regarded as obese or morbidly obese according to BMI. Do not use BMI as indicator.

I am going back to more of a keto or Banting style of eating to lose some weight. Too much carbs in the latter half of 2023 got me where I am..Best I ever was, was on Banting diet.

I hear you but I am seriously unfit and definitely obese compared to my fitter days 10-12 years ago. As per BMI, I am supposed to be max 80 kg but I do recall being way fitter person at around 85kg.

I think I am planning to be fit and healthy and if diet & exercise continues like I have done over last 2 weeks, that would be lekker. Being fit is subjective but I will come up with some objective landmarks after some experimentation.
