The 2018 Weight Loss Thread

125.55 kg exactly the same as last week. That's what a beer and wings bindge on a Wednesday will do to you.

Rather late than never thought I would join this now:

At sign-up, please provide the following details:
- Age: 29
- Male
- Height: 192cm
- Method of Weightloss: running, watching what I eat.
- Highest Weight Ever: 103.2 kg (24 June 2018)
- Weight at sign-up: 101.2 kg (28 June - already down 2KG :))
- Goal Weight:85kg (if achieved before June next year my wife said I can get a 1080ti, talk about motivation)

It has been some time since I weighed in, but I am a bit heavier, maybe by 2-3kg. Don’t have an accurate scale to measure up…

I guess I am now around 91kg.

Been on the road a ton this last month and just got back from holiday.

So "weakly" weigh in: 107kg. :erm:

Well, ****.

I don't know what's been going on.
Probably a combination of:
1) Been fooling myself about what I'm eating, telling myself it's ok.
2) Started doing more exercise (stair climbing) so my quads/calves have gotten bigger
3) On some BP meds and anti allergy stuff, don't know if these could affect metabolism/etc
But, at weigh-in for nationals last week, I was the heaviest I have ever been in my life. Was quite a kick in the balls...

Have now gone back to basics with the food, last night had the first keto poo in a while, and this morning, scale showed a drop of 2kg, so I am thinking the problem was actually #1 .

Square one. Here we go.

Check in 20 July: 97.9KG 5.2KGs down in less than a month :)

Joined a gym yesterday signed up for 12 months. I also decided to wake up at 5am every morning. Was up at 4:45 this morning at the gym by 5 and at work by 6:45. Loving the energy. The 1080ti gets closer everyday. Hehe

Monthly drop is a few days late but in the 94's this morning.

For those avoiding that excel sheet :p , my stats are now as below:

Start of Loss : 187kg ( Mar 2015 )
Start of Year weight : 99/98kgs ( bit unsure, had removal surgery in December so lots of swelling etc )
Current Weight: 94kgs
Loss YTD: 5kgs
Total Loss To date : 93kg
Initial goal : 110kg
Revised goal: 87Kg ( because 100kg loss is a nice round number :D )
Final goal: ??? ( no idea, current goal is around reducing fat layers prior to removal surgery, 2 more to go )
fanniebraai know you like the stats.

Recently started a month long fast (almost 1 week done). During this fasting period, I have given up smoking (cigs and vaping), drinking alcohol, and eating meat.
Sadly, the non-smoking has led to me gaining 2 kilos in the last week.

Winter has been bad to me, 128.82 kg this morning, still think I can get to 120 kg by end of November.

Fasting is done, but i'm gonna have to put the banting on hold for a few days. Have so much left over dhal's and chickpea curry that I don't wanna waste.
