Weight loss

This myth about what's in their meat is precisely that - it's beef. I schit you not. It is actual, 100% beef. There is no conspiracy here.

The point he was making was that Supersize Me was a load of schit, and it is. Spurlock is a liar and a charlatan. His other point was that fats are not to be feared. Fats are good. And the nonsense about cholesterol that has been shoved down our throats for decades is a lie.

As with any documentary, there are things to take away from it, and things to glance over and/or ignore.

And yes, I am well aware of the double entendres in the above sentences...:D

I do not for one minute believe its beef, pure beef.
I dont know WTF it is but thats not beef.

Point I guess is, any a hole can make a docu and make millions believe every single word.
Fats are not bad, carbs and sugars are whats bad

You know, if this were true, all it would take would be a microscope, a 7th grade grasp of chemistry, and a biology textbook to confirm. Nobody has ever been able to do that, and when it has been tested by authorities, it has been found to be...wait for it...100% beef. They add chemical flavouring to it to give it the "McDs flavour" as do most take-aways - they standardise their standard flavour and add it to, well, everything.

Not sure why you would say it isn't beef. Just munch a patty on its own - it's beef. Underseasoned and overdone, but it's beef. The texture is achieved through serious processing (mechanical, not chemical) of the beef. That's all...

Point I guess is, any a hole can make a docu and make millions believe every single word.

Yes, to an extent. Omega-3 fats aren't always great for you though, and certain length chains of fatty acids too. But oddly enough these are traditionally plant-derived fats, not animal fats. And in the context of general health, the major contributive factors to coronary diseases and many other ailments are sugars and carbs, not fats...

Thanks will go and look.
But this video is spot on in the end, carbs and sugars will kill us.
We need to eat meats, thats what we have been eating forever, all this processed **** is gonna wipe us out

Ok so for the new year I'm looking at joining a gym or doing yoga, pilates or tae bo. Mainly looking for something for a bit of stress relief, I think. Just mentioned the things that are available close to home. Any advice?

You need to decide what you want to achieve and how hard you want to work at it, each of those activities focuses on different aspects of the body and are very different in approach.

Just want something I can commit to, want to get out a little :D So for that matter I could even join a stamp collecting club...
But stress relief is high on the list of what I would like to achieve.
Run/Walk for life meetings also take place in my neighbourhood and it could be nice to join just for the group aspect but somehow paying to walk in the street where I usually walk for free doesn't make sense to me :p

If you're more of an action oriented/aggressive type personality go for tae bo, if you're more laid back/easy going go for yoga or Pilates

So festive season is coming to an end only new years to get thru then I don't want to see braai for a few months.

With all the crazy eating I managed to not move the scale up which I take as a positive. So come Jan I'll clean up the diet n get moving to that elusive goal weight.

Happy days people, see u all in the new year

I'm doing all I can to avoid gaining weight in this festive season...avoiding junk food, avoiding potato chips, rice, eat only chicken, eat no more than 3 muffins. I'm on 103Kg at the moment...I hope to be a double digit weight by feb.

Scale shows 51.1 so pretty chuffed that I survived the festive season without too much damage

And this was after a meal.

I'm doing fine too. Although it might be because I was drunk for a few days, and then too hungover to eat for a couple more days
