Didnt see a thread for this and with the release only a few weeks away though I'd start one.

Guys, help me out.

Clocked Witcher 1 years ago. Haven't played Witcher 2 yet. ( Own both games on STEAM with all DLC's etc ).

Should I play Witcher 1 again and then 2

OR

Just start with 2 and finish it?

( Witcher 1 was awesome ).

You don't need to play 1 or 2 as it does not follow on 1&2.

It will probably fine. TW2 is still a beast with ubersampling on but to be honest I don't notice that much of a change except for it killing your framerate. On my gtx960 with everything maxed out except for ubersampling (disabled) it still looks bloody amazing for such an old game & running at close to 100fps but I enable vsync.
 
Just a note that this game will be DRM free so you will probably be able to pirate it a few hours after release or you can buy it from Takealot for R499 or you can buy it from GOG for US$53 which is a company worthwhile of supporting as they have always removed DRM from games, applied patches to enhance older games and made things work on newer versions of windows.

Can't wait for this :D

Graphics card is a Asus gtx470:(
 
Will be getting it next month only. Thank goodness I finished TW2 a few years ago. Wanted to first replay it before starting TW3 as a refresher.
 
I seriously tried to get into TW2 but the combat was just awful. I rage quit after about 5 hours and never looked back.
 
And I thought my graphics card was withstanding the ravages of time quite well...
