The Witcher 3 Official thread

I'm on the Baron quest at the moment.. haven't been playing that often. Thinking about restarting with mods and dlc content so that I can make sure I cover all the side missions (like the dying girl that needs the potion in the beginning)... yep.. I think I will do that.

I'm in the same boat.

What platform did you play on? I found the PC controls to be pretty good.

Make sure you get the expansion pass if you don't have it already.

I finished HoS with full viper gear and swords. Amazing game! I never liked PS controls but the ps4 handles well.

I got all the diagrams for the Cat School Gear but couldn't craft any. All I needed was a damn shirt which I couldn't find. I know I had one earlier in the game but for the life of me can't remember where I got it from. Tried a shops, blacksmiths and armorers no luck!

There is a clothing merchant just outside Novigrad. Also check the Quartermaster near the master armourer.

I have been slowly playing this game over the last 2 months and absolutely loving this game.

I have a feeling i am progressing very slowly, but the scenery and multiple side quests have kept me so busy. I'm only lvl 12 and 50+/- hours in. Don't know how that stacks up to others?

Who really cares, as long as you are enjoying yourself. The day you finish the game you are gonna be like 'so wtf now', take your time.

I was enjoying it until I got to the second big area...but then the game bugged out. The horse would fly everywhere and the character controller just breaks and Geralt gets stuck.

This. I have spent a couple of hundred hours on this game. Got the HoS as well; just trying to stretch it out. Will be very sad once it's all over :(

What platform? No ways this should happen with all the updates at this stage.

I bought the game sometime in July and only completed it a week back, so you're doing ok. I also did most of the side quests, Witcher contracts and treasure hunts and fully enjoyed this game.

Hello Witcher fans! I have a question.

I played The Witcher 2. Got through the tutorial and decided to play another game. Two weeks later I came back to The Witcher but forgot all the keys. So I never played it again. Although it seems like a great game.

My question is. Do I need to play the other two games first to be able to understand the story of the 3rd installment? Or is this game good enough for any RPG enthusiast. Steam special is tempting my balls off!

I played about an hour of the witcher 2 and then lost interest but found it didnt hinder the witcher 3 in any way. You can jump right in. If the world lore is important to you then play the others first but it can stand on its own without an issue. Great game and i highly recommend it.

No, it was designed so people can dive right in, there are references to the earlier ones though.

Awesome! Thanks guys. Been looking for a new RPG to enjoy. I'm a huge fallout and oblivion fan, weirdly not a Skyrim fan. Can't wait to watch my beard grow.
