Other thing to consider is, would you not still have a PC, even if you didn't game on it? I would definitely, for example. So the R12k vs. R6k comparison doesn't really make sense in that light.

That is my stance also. I have no issues paying R 12k for a PC as I will always have one and use it. If not for gaming it will be for work and other things like playing media. So to me it's a no brainer. Other people though I suppose don't care for anything PC related. But they have internet installed just for PS and Xbox gaming. I actually know a guy who has a 4Mbps ADSL line and he only has a PS3...

Edit: Sorry only saw your post now. You're right. Might as well just get the standard edition.

Ah, I've been waiting for Eskom to destroy my CPU so I can have a legit excuse to get one of those Broadwell i7 bad boys :D

I've yet to order a copy of TW3 Standard Edition. Next gen games are so expensive these days :( Jeez.
 
Even the standard edition of The Witcher 3 is a generous package

So are we getting a nice package like we did with Witcher 2 or what does the content of the standard edition look like? I haven't really been following on that front.

Kinda bummed I didn't have mine delivered via Speedservices. I could have had it before 11AM tomorrow then. Will probably only get it after 4 now.

Since I am not in a 'main centre' I will be lucky to get mine on Wednesday...
 
G2A responded to my query and said that all Witcher 3 codes will be sent out today. Thank god for that. I think they've been inundated with angry customers the last few days.

I don't know why TakeAlot don't send their preorders out the day before so that they can easily be delivered on the day of launch. It used to work like that, iirc.
 
a Big shoutout of thanx to Shaun from Raru and Tex from Awx who managed to help me secure a copy of the witcher ce edition this morning. You guys are stars :) I wanted the CE for the goodies in the end.

I have been playing my gog copy this morning only done the tuturial before I needed to leave for work. Played on ultra everything , except haven't tried hairworks as running a r290x tri, will test with hairworks later. Game running at 60fps for most of the time, dropping to 45 for the odd cutscene.
