On their pre-launch special. Today. 20% off.

I don't get this gwent card game

I put whatever I can where I can and then win the first round but lose the last 2 ...

Its pretty straight forward once you understand the game and how the different cards work.

To improve your chances buy the cards the barkeeps sell. Following the gwent quest and win some hero cards.

As mentioned by QQ using spy cards and throwing the first round is a good idea.

Use your leader card special abilities. For the northern deck once you get the special card that increases turret damage stacking turrets really works well against most early opponents. If you are playing against a opponent that favors a monster deck it helps to have a snow card.

Some side missions are purely based on gwent. There's a trophy or two connected to it as well. Other than that I can't think it'll make a huge difference. But that's just my experience so far..

Some money, a few achievos and its fun collecting the cards + 1 of the "lady scenes" can only by gotten from gwent guests ;P

"New Quest" and "Alternate Look for Yennefer" DLC has been released, 20-30mb each.
