Most atmospheric game I've ever played, by far.

What's that place south of Mulbury (spelling?). Starts with an L. There's a good smith there to buy your swords and a merchant. If you've been to Novigrad (again spelling?) and you've met the king of the beggars, there is a merchant right after those wooden doors that bought my stuff for a rather high price.

Skellige has completely different weather settings based on the fact that it's colder, thus even the sunsets look different. It's amazing how much detail they put into it.
Yeah this is one amazing game. This is my first foray into RPG's, I played a bit of Witcher 2 just before 3 came out to see what it's about & it's bloody amazing. I'll probably end up playing witcher 1&2 after I'm done with this which is gonna take a long time.
Definitely gets my vote for GOTY.
I'm nearly 33 hours in. Only in Skellige did I complete all the witcher bounties and secondary quests I came across, and it took a very long time. Probably going to get around to all the ones I can find in the other locations now before continuing the main quest. I find them to be the most entertaining part of the game.

I wish there was a definite way of knowing which main story quests make you fail certain side quests. This is the second time I do a main story quest just to fail multiple side quests.

AMD 15.5 drivers are out. No performance increase for me despite the R29xx series getting some. Guess the HD7850 is reaching the end of its driver support.
Actually, scratch that. I'm getting worse performance now. Suddenly I have stutter in towns. Oh AMD. :/

Reading all the gameplay experiences over the last few pages, makes me a sad panda for not spending more time in this game
I've just started the quest to find the Griffin...
I used that first town as my learning ground, spent a lot of time there, did all the side quests & stuff and left the griffin for last.

I still wanted to heal the sick girl but it failed when I handed in the Griffin quest. I was so sad.
How? I had no option to do so and that was before the griffin quest. Something about the witcher potions can kill humans in an agonising way and there where no options when you approached the girl.

Talk to the herbalist lady. She'll give you the quest to heal the girl, as well as the Swallow recipe. Then just get the ingredients, brew the potion, give it to the herbalist, ba-da-bing!

I had the 15.5 beta since before Witcher 3. Also have the HD7850 card, PowerColor, handling great for me. No problem on High.

Yeah it's very easy to miss. I also did on the first time; happened to stumble upon it coz I wanted to buy something from the herbalist and got the quest.

Where the hell is the Golden Sturgeon Inn? There's a couple of Gwent cards I want to buy there but can't find it for the life of me. From the name I'm assuming it's close to the docks, but I've run up and down Novigrad and Oxenfurt's dock areas, but nothing... Does it only unlock later in the game? I'm only lvl 7 now.

It's in Novigrad. IIRC it is on a corner next to the seaside/docks. If the seaside is to your right, it is on your left on the "south" side of the T-Junction/intersection. The road forward kinda bends to right...

Cool thanks man, I'm gonna go look for it tonight. Does it give a beer icon on the minimap as well? Mine has no icon so I was not sure where to start looking at the docks.
EDIT: HA! I just saw online that a fist fight mission starts there, so I'm just going to set that as active and follow the marker.
