The Xperia X1 Thread

hey all.

just read through all 9 pages of the thread and realised we should rename it to "where to find an x1 in cape town!!!" lol

jokes aside, also just got an x1. amazing phone... doesnt feel likea phone with pc functionality but rather a pc with phone functionality...

also i was really looking for a black x1 but vodacom assured me they would only be stocking the silver models. its freely available in vodashops in menlyn, brooklyn and centurion in pretoria.

now that ive got the steel silver one, its absolutely stunning. the phone looks really cool.

one problem though:
anyone having trouble updating weather and location on sbp panel? i see lotsa guys overseas havin issues with that, just like me...

and its one of the easiest panels to use, gonna download touchflo now so will post my opinion later...

Congrats. It's a great device. Have I said that before??? lol

I don't use sbp panel so I can't help you with that. Only problem I have is the fact that it doesn't have weather for Cape Town.

I've uninstalled TouchFLO3D from my X1. It is not smooth enough.

So I thought let me give Touch HD Manilla TF3D a try. And WOW!!!! It is very smooth.

Try it out guys.

Remember to disable TouchFLO3D in your Home Screen menu before trying to uninstall it otherwise it wont uninstall.

And install it on the Phone Memory.;)

howzit guys planning around with my x1... it is amazing!!
But one thing is bugging me, i downloaded the facebook panel and everytime i try and use that panel my x1 freezes and cannot switch it off!!!

what you guys reakon??

You can buy the Garmin Software DVD at Cape Union Mart and buy the licenses from your PC.

Garmin XT Mobile is a free download off the garmin website. Go buy the maps at CUM(not the book shop) and then read the N95 garmin xt thread and you're set.

Is that on a DVD?
Once again excuse my ignorance towards this.
So do I just go in and by the maps, download Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile Ver. 5.00.20w as of Sep 25, 2008 and then load that onto the phone?
I can't find what I need from CUM's site - stock or pricing
Just looked under the Garmin Brand and only find the actual handsets/devices, not any software or maps...

Yes it's on dvd, you download and install xt on the phone, then go read n95 xt thread and the procedure is the same. 30 mins later and you have a great GPS on your X1.
