I'm posting usefull information on here. Use it or don't use it. As we all know the TouchFLO3D software are written for WM devices so it should work on it. As for my glorified N95, well, what can I say?? The N95 is still a hit in 90% of the cellphone markets and the N96 is just a improvement on that so WOW!!!

Had my N96 for 7days now, not restarts, no freezes, no blank screens, no resets, and the list can go on.....

Can you say the same???

1. NO purchasable item in the world, regardless of price will work 100% on 100% units sold.

Not the same OS platform, so your reply is kinda stoopid .You installed touchflo on most these phones if not all, and it doesnt work properly with that screenres, googling would have given other altered cab installs or vgafix2 + manilla to 99% correct the issue,but then your back on a htc resolution. Might aswell go buy a htc then. HTC still sell phones with laggy/buggy interfaces..which guess what, get modded and cooked roms...and also comparing a phone to a 300k+ car is just plain dumb, cause guess what, they still sell with faults, not ALL 2009 BMW M3 are faultless when being sold, they get returnsed to get the issues resolved

No, I dont have a N96 so cant say the same. Lost faith in Nokia 8 years ago
 
Dont recall being your friend.

Nokia is too simplistic ( user-friendlyness ) and had issues ( still help others set up certain crap on their nokias ) .

I'm the OP of this thread and I posted about the N96 in the first post as well so I guess I can post here about the N96 if I want.

I'm only comparing the two phones, I did start a thread for the N96 where I post about my findings, reviews etc.....

I'm sure the posts I make here can help lots of people deciding what to get next.
 
Seriously now this thread is starting to sound like a school boy fight.

Piesang if you dont want us to use this thread because you hate the x1 so much then dont use or cancel it and we will just create a new one... this thread is not only for you. It is for x1 users and potential users to come and discuss matters on the phone and NOT for ppl to banter between which phone is better.

You had a bad experience with the x1 and you now have a glorified n95, so deal with it in your own time and don't make irrelevent comments here about just bashing the x1, the way you used your x1 did not help the reliability of it either. Ie. you installed the touchflo 3d (As i did) which caused the x1 to become unstable and im sure this will be fixed in the near future and oh the volume on the speaker is not loud enough, im sorry this is not good enough excuse to not like a phone). Most of your issues will be resolved with tweaks in software and the phone will be become even better in the future.

So all in all move on now, go and talk with all the other N96 users about what your N96 can do and we will talk about what the x1 can do here because all past comments are starting to become childish and im sure you are no longer a child.

Aside: don't take this stuff personally because that will be even more chilish.

Anyways back to matters at hand... also need some help in setting up the Garmin mobile XT?? Not sure if doing it right??

Someone who has done this successfully do you mind setting up a process to follow, so that in future we dont need to deal with the same question again.

This will be much appreciated... thanks guys!!

You see peisang there is a life outside of your N96 and the x1 offers a much better one!!!

hey guys... some of like nokia, some of like sony ericsson. there are strengths and weaknesses on both sides of the divide. piesang, there are a lot of guys here with strong x1's. you say you are giving your input so people can decide fairly on whether they want the phone or not. i kinda dont see that as "fairly". you made your point, but you seem to be going on and on. thats the issue really. i dont think anyone is disputing what happened to your 3 x1's. but you said it and you moved on. so let us discuss our x1's please. not with every second post telling us we wasted R12 000 rand and made a stupid decision.

here is what i need..

when in messaging go to settings... go to mms settings. go to servers tab. double click your "mtn" mms profile. i need the following..

server name
gateway
port number
server address
wap version

help pweeeeeeeez
