lol piesang... now honestly what would you have written... x1 is crap, would never handle the multiple tasks???? :)

well Tsponge... im multitasking a couple things like two messengers, mail etc and music, but not mxit. but i seriously dont see a problem with mxit. i think its a pretty light app but i stand corrected.
 
Yes it is a light app. What is the music qualtity like ? and does it have any of the well known SE walkman phone features like Track ID (some ppl say it does others say it doesn't), can you change the track by holding the volume control rocker up or down.Then does anyone know where I can get the HBH-DS205, HBH-DS220, HBH-DS200 or any other stereo bluetooth headset with 3.5mm jack and play controls. no, its a windows mobile device so as standard it plays music with windows media player.
this is NOT a sony walkman type phone at all. i see guys are using other apps to play music.... just google x1 and music player. apparantly some great apps out there.

I have been multi tasking on my x1 a lot and no real problems at all... i have not installed mxit but im sure that application wont have a problem running on the phone.

Then regarding your headset problem, what city you in? Generally you can try the incredible rip off or ****ty hi fi corp otherwise try order off take 2, maybe they stock it.

Hey KVI

What are you using to flash the phone? Doing that would void your warranty. I had my P990 flashed at Vodacare. Although it did take them two bites at the cherry to get it right. So I think I'll do that next week.

The vodacom packages are insane... I took mine out on the MTN packages they seem to be the best value for money. I spend insane money on my phone so took mine out on the MTN 750 for R819pm with no pay as this is financed. You could pay 750pm and pay in R1600.
But go for the MTN packages much better than paying 4grand!!
 
ok flash went perfect.... :)

ive flashed all my vodaphones over the years... i always just weigh up a year or two of vodaphone software vs losing warranty and guess what wins ...

anyways flash went perfect... easypeasy. now a couple other options on my menus have opened up which werent there before, and i didnt even know they were missing coz i had no phone to compare with... such as streaming media, google panel now replaces vodaphone panel... some more connection setup buttons etc.

oh and this time when phone turned on it automatically downloaded all mtn setting and THE ELUSIVE MMS SETTINGS i was having a problem. the built in vodaphone settings were truly bombing out all my attempts to setup mtn settings on it.

OH JOY WHAT FREEDOM.

oh and my phone hasnt crashed once since i last mentioned it yesterday ;) nudge nuge wink wink

more to the point, anyone sort out navi on this phone yet? does wayfinder work?
also anyone get hotmail email delivered to the phone? mine only works if the phone is linked up to my pc via usb... any advice?

It will take much more than a "cyber snotklap" to get rid of me.

Im not going to waste my time on this thread anymore but I guess if my name is mentioned I may reply.

I still say the Xperia is crap though. I dont have to flash my N96 with a custom ROM to make it work either. There goes your warranty.

I wouldn't flash my phone with custom ROM, but I am going to take to vodacare to have them install the original SE firmware like I've done for all my Pseries phones. The phone is then as its meant to be without vodacoms crap custom firmware.
 
Well why should you have to do that? ?? I would say its crap that you have to take it there in the first place.
Why cant they just give you a phone that works in the first place?
