I'm sure that they can help in certain cases. I might have just been unlucky with the guy I got on the line.

Not sure if any of you are using this program but found it while surfing around, apparently can use it to download updates for the x1 the minute they are released.

i reckon gonna give it a try..
Dear X1 owners. Please could you comment on the reception compared to your previous phones. I read in some of the reviews that this phone had some issues with poor reception where other phones were okay in the same geographical location, and today was told by a vodashop employee that they have had lots of negative feedback related to reception. In all other respects this phone meets my requirements, but would hate to have a bells and whistles cell phone that cannot get receptions or hold a call while driving.
Thanks for the feedback.
You better have the MTN or flashed vodacom X1 or you won't get the updates. Vodacom firmware won't allow you to update to SE's latest.
The next generation of Windows Mobile powered devices by Sony Ericsson presumably won't be HTC-made. Instead, Sony Ericsson will entrust their new smartphone production to a Taiwan-based company called Mobinnova.
The Taiwanese Mobinnova already have experience with mobile phones production under their Foxconn Electronics brand but we can only guess the reason behind that decision of Sony Ericsson (if true at all). Perhaps they are after a better differentiation of their products or are reluctant of using their main WinMo competitor as OEM.
Of course, nobody is really sure whether there would be a new XPERIA, and if there is one, whether it will be based on Windows Mobile at all.
Nevertheless let's hope that future gadgets will exceed the fascinating XPERIA.
