It will stabilise at R20 to the Dollar.
Good grief, that's frightening. Do you see this dramatic side continuing or is it a slow bleed? And bouncing back? Is it ever going to get back to below 10?

I tell you man, if the ANC can get a wake up call and if someone at Davos convinces Zuma that less fettered capitalism is the way to go, we would probably recover a lot. But then there are also systemic problems ne, like the electricity problems, poor education, highly unionised labour etc.
And the artificial weakening of the Rand, to accommodate the Chinese agenda.
You'd be silly if you think the ANC is in control of this country.

If Zuma is fired this week and a intelligent leader like Ramaphosa is put in charge I see under R10:US within 12 months.
But the likelihood of that is around 33% imo.
If the rand reaches R20 by Friday then that likelihood goes up to 70% imo.
Drunk, high, or both?
Lol, rand at below 10 to the dollar... You people are dreaming...
The ONLY way this will happen is if the ANC is booted and the economy recovers, commodity prices jump, the drought ends, interest rates go up here and there's another recession in the first world.
It was R6.50:US not too long ago.
Anyway, when does the first market open that trades ZAR?
...HEY! Don't Forget..... South Africa is open for Business!!!!!

Pravin Gordhan to return as finance minister.
Let's hope that news stabilises the market!
I'd rather not...Buy bank stocks tomorrow first thing?
It'll help. Definitely a positive even if it does smell of dubious decision making at the top levels of gov.May be too little too late.
