It is expect the SARB will keep rates unchanged.

That's not going to happen, prices hardly ever drop when the rand recovers. Though it was scary seeing suppliers had roe of 18 + in January.Assuming SA currency remains steady.. time to call out retailers, insurers, etc that increased prices way above inflation for hedging in Jan-Feb. Fun times ahead for them.. as they either adjust, show profit or lose customers to competition. CC gonna collusive complaints in 6-12 months time if things improve beyond the almost normalized Rand value.
Ps. Discovery & Co are in for some major revolt of their user base as people realize that there is a major correction with pricing which was adjusted for hedging if prices go back to the normalized lossy curve of about 13.26 and tracks it.. better yet if it falls below 12..
The rand deepened Thursday’s losses on Friday morning‚ breaching the R14/$ mark for the first time in about two weeks.
Check the currencies when Deutsche Bank collapses
Sold that on Thursday will buy it again after the Deutsche Bank woes.Better sell that DBCHIN then.
Assuming it doesn't blow up in everyone's face.Sold that on Thursday will buy it again after the Deutsche Bank woes.
Yea, then we are fkced royally. 2008 all over againAssuming it doesn't blow up in everyone's face.

A tad optimistic.
All proper medical aids are hiking their prices with a similar margin, akin to price collusion, so as to ensure they all get a profit out of it. They also know that, because of the nature of SA, it's an absolute necessity, and people can't get out of paying it. They don't care that people are struggling to buy bread, as long as they can cash in heavily on the already heavily strained consumer.
Besides, we can fully trust the ANC to say something retarded soon that will make the rand land flat on its arse, and totally justify them increasing their prices, as ridiculous as it may be at this stage.
Plus one.Yes, I know this is South Africa and you are 100% correct. But, if you want to kill all medical aids in South Africa, all that the government needs to do is to jack-up its few State hospitals and appoint staff to full capacity, in order to provide faster and more efficient service delivery. That's it. More than 80% of people of medical aids will leave and simply go to State hospitals. Medical aids will fold under their own weight.
Plus one.
State medical and state education (UNISA) needs to get more attention.
The anc can make a massive difference is they just hire someone who has actual brains.
