Time to send some bananas over the water to old blighty perhaps

Hasn't been at 18.1 for quite some time now. Wonder if it will sub 18 , if only briefly.

Lots of risk globally..

US Fed won’t be able to starve off calls to cut forever and it seems people are expecting a re-correction to come which makes sa less risky (known variables vs unknown drop coming).

Sona wasn’t bad.. but it wasn’t good either so gains mostly kept while Middle East issues present problems. Guess they waiting to see what treasury gonna do and where funds coming from.

Still CR hands look tied and I’m wondering if gov will be bailing out municipal accounts to start a zero tolerance on debt.. but CR clearly having issues as he the only controversial thing mentioned (affecting voting base) was Soweto paying its electricity bills.. with public companies letting go staff (MultiChoice announcement today).. letting go of 20-30k Eskom staff is not gonna happen easily. I still think major shake up coming dec.

Dropped just below 18 to £ last night and is currently still trading at 17.5951.

Hasn't been below 18 in a good few months now... since mid Feb actually.

Would love to see it hit 15 as Trump , China and Iran battle it out on international stage, but the local effects will no doubt always reverse any good gains.

Nice, might help us a bit short term.
Doesn't look like it, the Rand dropped again. It was getting better last week and of course the ANC said or did something to drop confidence, it's like they want it to remain high.

Isn't that more the pound weakening with all the brexit uncertainty than the rand strengthening?
Almost certainly, but who cares why. Long may Brexit , Johnson and co cause a weakening Pound!

It's a win win for me and my pocket.

At least something positive to look forward to in this gloomy worldwide economic uncertainty.
