I bought some of those from takealot a while back, I use them specifically in electronic projects for things like PI heatsinks, power supply heatsinks & the like.Apologies for the thread necro but I'm not in the mood to start a new thread.
Thermal paste prices seem to have got a bit out of hand lately.
There is of course this...

How bad is it?
Reviews are great but I think that's more from a value for money perspective.
There is SOOOOO much written about various thermal compounds but the general consensus seems to be mid range thermal compounds pretty much perform on a par.
This is a bit of an entry level thermal paste though. Anyone used it? Worth the savings or no??
The price discrepancy is SIGNIFICANT.
For CPUs & GPUs I use this phanteks stuff: https://www.wootware.co.za/phanteks-ph-ndc-02-thermal-compound.html
The phanteks stuff has double the amount of thermal conductivity that the cheap grey paste has from takealot.
For the "price saving" - unless you're applying thermal paste to everything in your house several times a month, the phanteks stuff gives two tubes, which is enough to do at least 4 applications onto a CPU - way more than enough for the average person to do their desktop & laptop CPU & GPU.
If you're using it frequently for lots of smaller projects - massive tube of generic grey goop works.
