sentech just came to fetch my modem.. im out my contract no questions asked. had a nice chat to the guy who came out to see me and i told him, i want mywireless, i love the product, i love the technology, i love its potential.... but not right now. ive told sentech that as soon as i see a improvement in the service, both technically and thru satisfied customers on myadsl i will be the first one to sign back on.

by the sounds of things they are trying to move heaven and earth to fix these problems, guys are working on the problems from ipw to didata to is...

and by the sounds of it, if you are not getting your packages speeds demand august no payment, they will give it to you.

and they have dedicated people now watching this forum....
 
Ahem... I have demanded a rebate for the service I didn't recieve... in fact, I gave them some leeway. Three months, at 40% of the service I am paying for leaves a refund of 60%. I'm demanding it NOW because they fixed the tower I connect to and now there's a set amount I can claim...

The amount is around R 1200, which is far more than a single months payment. I'm still waiting to see if they're going to try and use their "logs" to tell me I cannot claim it saying I did receive good service... if so, I will demand audited and official logs in PAPER (see? we can also be legally hardassed with THEM like in thier contracts and how we had to beg to get them to send us the service). If they don't match mine, COURT TIME!

Sheesh.

Yes it is. But I chose NOT to cancel just yet ;-) ....

If Sentech is still willing to implement fixes and meet Rodent to discuss the issues them I'm still willing to hang on.... But come Tuesday 31 August 2004, the day of reckoning.. things had better be fixed.
 
How long did you wait from cancel to collect? I was told that I'd be phoned to arrange collection of my modem, hasn't happend yet. Limbs will fly if they debit my account next month!
 
things do look better. the forums are very quiet and thats always a good sign (for Sentech at least).

I also am demanding a one month refund. Any tips or people who I can connect? The support people flat out ignore my emails and make like I never asked for a rebate. Im going to threaten "if you want to keep me as a loyal subscriber you better refund". If they only know what potential reach we have as a userbase. Just today I bumped into a guy (hi D) with a mywireless stand at our local shopping mall. I KNOW I could easily convince at least a few people to sign up if I just sat there a while. Thats the kind of thing Sentech are going to need to pay for. If they refund my money I will say OK thats fair and keep on bringing in new subscribers.
 
could it be possible [goverment mentality circa 1970] that they could be letting us all get pissed off to the point of cancelation to get rid of the baddies list ??

spend more money on marketing to cover up the bad press ... and we all live unhappily happy ever after ...
