The fact that you have to create a user account for near dang everything.
Bought a new TV, thought I'd simply plug it in, maybe input a wifi password and be on my way.
Nah - took like 10 minutes cos I had to create an account first.

This irritated me with Nvidia the other day. Figured fine let me get GeForce experience so it can autodetect and download rather than go via website. Download, install...please sign in.

Ugh I agree. Even worst if it was a family member who got a new smart TV, then it asked for their username (email address) and password (the register new account was hidden to the bottom of the screen) and nothing "worked". That's why I was brought in, only to discover they have been punching in their Gmail username and password the whole time (with no luck of course).

One can only hope LG / Samsung / whoever doesn't store the login requests coming through... :(

Getting tiling done on a wide area and the new dog doesn't listen and just walks all over the tiles, sigh so some are slightly off :-( only really noticed it once they were dry.

Courier companies.

Use them with Raru and get quite a few different responses.

"Could not deliver, client unavailable"
"Courier was highjacked"

Then I decide ok let me use Pargo, deliver to a Caltex open 24/7:

You get packages from Raru? I mean I'm now 4 and a 1/2 months waiting for my stuff from them, excuses are COVID.

Covid still?

Ah yes, I do get.

BUT, my reply should be taken as "I am not sponsored by nor do I work for Raru".

I do not condone their business practices which also includes their refund policies.

Yup still apparently, oh no I know you're not condoning it, just surprised someone is getting things from them?

It's Friday, sending out an announcement that if you require any critical systems online over the weekend to please arrange a day in advance.

8/10 I'm getting a "We need this online ASAP" message tomorrow

Financial people ignoring specific critical emails (Sage payroll etc) and now we have to bust our nuts in getting our payroll system migrated before end of September.

Bossman is not impressed.

When your best friend invites you to a braai that turns out to be his surprise attempt to start a cult and now you don’t know what to say to him because he entertains your wacky ideas but you have to reel him back down to earth.

Also wtf. WTF.

He was completely sober.

His own cult? I mean if you get in on the bottom floor, could be profitable

Loadshedding causing the ice compartment of my bar fridge to freeze up.

Only now do I get a chance to defrost it.

And I discovered a forgotten pear, super sour and squishy  thankfully it was still in a plastic baggie, so I could dispose of it easily.
