Things that irritate you.....

I've done races this year but didn't pay for a CSA membership. Never got stopped once. Figured it's only for the real professionals, not me that starts in open seeded. Don't plan on getting one for next year too.
 
I'm a PPA member, however some non PPA events like K2C require you to have a CSA licence and as part of the entry process they check that your membership is active. So I'll put it off until February, or just pay for a temp one.

I have a big problem with having my money go to ASA and CSA.
 
Pass a technical test for a job, they're happy and invite me for an interview. Then yesterday I get an email from the recruitment agency - "They are looking for someone more technical".

There was something I asked that I wanted to know about the company, and they didn't seem too happy about it, so I'm gonna assume that's the real reason, then.

Technical tests are way overrated.

Five years ago when I was looking for a new job the company I now work for asked a couple of technical question in the interview and then made me an offer.

Another one had me do 2 interviews, one technical test where I had to write a small app, then made me and offer.

But the third was special. First they call you and have a telephonic technical quiz with you. Then they go silent until late on a Friday afternoon when you get an assignment to write an app with database - all due Monday 8am. So you work all weekend and send it off. Then nothing for a week or so until you get invited for your first physical interview. To see if your personality fit. Now I have been told after this you have two more interviews, one with BAs and then one with the executives and only after this do they make you an offer. I, however, was deemed too "flamboyant" after the personality interview. But - strange enough - 2 weeks later as I was about to sign for my current job they called me again and said they have reconsidered and feel someone as "flamboyant" as me could be a good fit.

The call was from one of their executives who said we can discuss the terms of my employment of some beers at a local place not too far from their offices. I already made up my mind but free beer sounded good, considered it a worth while exchange for the weekend they took with their technical test ;)

Man, can't believe all that was 5 years ago.

People who drive so freaking slow when its raining, like they have full racing slicks on their cars.


Some people just have no confidence in their driving.

Knowing what I know and what I have seen on SA roads, half of them have slicks fitted anyway
 
When people have Skype meetings in an open plan office, too damn lazy to find a meeting room.

This is made worse when the meeting is more than a minute, or they are loud (some people tend to raise their voices when using Skype).

That's me. I have asked for a private office because some of my days I am doing remote access and Skype calls the whole day.

I do it to irritate everyone

Everyone seems interested. But I have a headset on, so all they here is "take your top of" , "2....now 3", etc...but they can't see or hear what's happening on the other side
