Finally getting used to the new car's slight turbo lag and realising that this beast needs to be driven a little harder than the naturally aspirated 6 cylinder animal I had before

Perfect cables. Inhaling, slowly. The bite of winter, the sound of sleep, warm clothes, cold drinks. The sound of humanity in the background.

The pause between registering this moment and the next.

Grass between my toes.

My skin.

Realising that not many people appreciate the instant, but most will and do at the end.

Be thankful you are not in my office then, I usually proclaim when I am going into a battle with a giant mole in hole. When the battle was really gruesome I inform the other that the toilet has been "spent" and needs some time to recuperate.

They too are awesome. Haven't heard them though. Heard the hyenas past 2 nights now. Come to think of it, they still haven't captured the 4 lions that escaped. They're not far from where we're staying.
