K2C, pity it happens but once a year. Very pleasing to ride. A bit sad to see Knysna after the fires.

True, if you factor in the cost they have then I guess R77 is reasonable. Way back when I started being active in 2011 it was R40 for a JPEG. Many of these action photographers have to be out on the route before the ride starts and then hang around for 7 hours while everyone passes.

What pleases me now, having serviced the stem on my MTB last night. That satisfaction of cleaning out so much dust and dirt from a creaking assembly, cleaning your nuts and bolts, lubing them, sitting there with your tool in your hand and tightening your nuts... joy. And then this morning.... total silence. :twisted:

A bit off topic but as I was driving past Brenton I saw a group of cyclists and one of them seemed to be shaking his fist at a Polo that was overtaking a Ford on a solid barrier line. I nearly thought it may have been Roux :p

:crylaugh: Nope, rode in on that stretch to the sport grounds on Sunday amid a bunch of other K2C riders. Promptly put the bike on the back of the Astra and left for Stilbaai a couple of minutes later.

Last time I rode in Knysna was 2015 when we stayed over after K2c. I rode up Phantom pass and then over the Red Bridge. I try to avoid tarmac as far as possible.
