Busiest little worker-bees doesn't usually get fired.

Whether they get fairly compensated...will know in 2 months. Not holding my breath.

The GBP tanking hasn't helped my "real" earnings either

Tiny little chick at PnP wants this skyscraper of a guy to apply for store credit and he couldn't see her so he just walked on.

My first time drinking what we in Afrikaans call "bad water" (bath water) - and it is a very good beer !

Yes, it is a bit sweeter. I had those and some as well Stella, for me the Bud was better. Still not close to my favourite which is any type of Ale, but not bad for a lager.

I post an ad on Gumtree for something I am selling for R3250. I get a message from somebody with no "Hi, how are you" or "Is this still available and are you willing to negotiate". Instead, the message reads: "R2750"

Thinking this poor guy is bad at math, I reply to him: "R3750"

GFY, lowballer.

Gumtree tilts me. People put some insane prices on things and don't negotiate. Sometimes only 20% less than new prices. Then you get the fools that low ball like the guy did to you. The worst is when they rock up after a 45min drive and then want to negotiate. Lol.

Honestly, I think my pricing is more than fair. It's a Palit GTX 1060 3GB. Seven months old. I account for about 10% negotiation and I would be willing to accept R3000 for it given that I don't have the original box anymore.

Other examples out there are priced upwards of R4000, so I think my pricing is pretty realistic given the average price. Yet you still get your chancers. But the best is when you state not negotiable on your ad, and the very next phone call has someone going "Best price?".

I negotiate with most of my ads anyway. If I don't like your offer, I don't accept it. If you say but ja, you can get the same thing new for 30% more then you can go and buy the damned thing new and be on your merry way. Don't come and lowball me after the fact that you had agreed to a price. Also people who negotiate based on distance from me. The onus is on you to get to me to purchase said item.

I think this ought to be in the 'things that irritate you' thread :crylaugh:

MGD? Last time I had that it tasted cack and I never wanted it again. Then again, that was 12 years ago. Guess it's Miller time tomorrow ;)
