Things that please you...

Best thing about MPC-BE for me is the PgUp and PgDn plays the next file / previous file. Which is perfect for the type of, erm.... adult homework I do.

Zoom Player allows massive thumbnail previews when hovering over the seek bar with the mouse, so you can find the scene your looking for quickly

Harvesting some 1337ass prime cut memes. Spooktober ones are starting to hatching and they are delightfully devilish.

New Skype in the updated Windows 10, loving it, and the fact that other will get so annoyed with it once windows drops support for that old rusty piece of crap non-metro skype :p

Planning a holiday. More fun that the trip itself.
OK maybe not more fun, but as much as.

I picked up an old ('vintage') Philips 220V hand mixer for R100 this weekend.

Aside from a missing piece that helps the bowl to turn it seems to work just fine. We tested it out by whipping up some lemon meringue, mixed some scone batter and it handled it just fine. Surprising, given it's 1970's-era birthdate :)

Who cares about speed when you have the best latency on this earth?

Due to a massive stuff up between CellC and MTN, who ported a (prepaid) SIM that I now use in an LTE router in error, and then had 4 attempts to reverse it, I now have a SIM where, for some reason, the Data balance increases by 1500mb a day whether I use it or not

The balance today, after 6 weeks, is 334Gb. Have not spent 1c on airtime since then

Happy chappy indeed

Download all the things!

Do you reckon you can get in some sort of trouble for this, like that student that got a nice surprise in her bank account and quickly spent it.

Snot rocketed a double parked minibus taxi in traffic on the way to work. That's what you get for forcing me to ride into the oncoming traffic lane.

I enquired with CellC 3 times. The first told me the number did not exist, the second said the balance had been transferred from a previous account (whose?) and the third said it was a contract. I get the impression they are all guesses. The SIM is not RICA'd since when I went to collect it, I was not asked for any personal details. This was CellC in Kenilworth Centre

I put the SIM in a phone. Within a few minutes there were over 100 SMS and people calling the number speaking something other than English. The SMS were mainly reminders to pay from Bradlows, Moosa Bros, Telkom and also special offers from CellC

My friend told me that humans can make mistakes but it takes a computer to really stuff things up

When there's a mozzie buzzing about at night and you're half asleep and you randomly stick out your hand and try grab it. And succeed.
This is of course after the 50 attempts before but still.
