Things that please you...

Is your car that heavy on fuel?
Nope - I drive that much  But I am really trying to limit my driving. Like all people we need to hold onto those coins. My car is just over 4yrs old and close to 180 000kms. Hubby's car was 12 yrs old when it was stolen - and he hadn't even gotten to 150k.

That is a lot of mileage in a very short timeframe - and here I thought I had done a lot of mileage in mine - 9 years and 262k km

I think with that amount of driving it may be wise to look at something more frugal - but then again if it's paid for and reliable there are few reasons to switch. I always get a little jelly when I see people post up their cars that get 18 or 20 km per liter, but then again most of them probably owe R5k+ a month on the repayments alone. I'd have to drive ten times as much as I do now to get to that amount per month and while my old car is still reliable I see no reason to change.

My car is laughed at by most people. But I bought it cash - new. I chose it because it fits me. It actually feels part of me so driving lots is a pleasure. It feels natural. I can do 900k and still go to the beach, shopping and a lot of other things after. And I am old. Well according to young people I am old.

I don't know why I imagined you drove an EcoSport or something - if so, they are nothing to scoff at! Great little cars those. It's nice when you have a car that you are comfortable with, especially with the driving you do - reliability needs to be near the top aspect along with safety

You are spot on Ecosport Titanium. Absolutely amazing little car. One of the reasons I bought it was for the high wheelbase. I drive on strange roads and Centurion often floods in places. The other reason was there were no ambient noises. Sadly a taxi going into the side changed all that. So I just put my music louder now.

Couldn't you remove the taxi?

4 years old. And you put three young adults in the back for 8 hours and listen to the complaints about how small the car is. Renault Scenic was wider. Most of the cars space is taken up by the engine/dashboard. Boot is smaller than my Hubby's Honda Jazz boot. His car also has more legroom at the back.
