Things that please you...

Being scheduled for load shedding and still having power. Who knew that incompetence could please me.

It pleases me that ever since the load shedding started - I have never experienced it - perhaps it is because my street is home to police and fire stations. Sometimes I feel left out when people discuss their load-shedding woes, I feel less of a South African.

OMG enjoy it. I wish I lived closer to the 24 hour clinic.

They don't load shed areas near police stations? They'd sleep better in the dark.

Eskom doesn't care, they can't distinguish between where a hospital, fire station or police station is.

I work near a fire station, load shedding still happens, there's a massive police station in the area as well. I live near a police station and it's shed as well.

You're somehow lucky, there's a guy at work who also never gets shed.

Police stations not fire stations. Also, not all police stations are close to fire stations.

Yes - I realise that I ignored your joke and for that I apologise :)

Our police and fire station are near a hospital. They do not get shed.

Are you sure? Cause there's even media about hospitals being shed and I literally can go out and see the fire station while there is shedding happening. I can drive up the road to the police station and there is shedding.

Unitas is one of the biggest hospitals with all sorts of specialists. They do not get shed - but they do have generators too
