Things that please you...

When u open the files to work on and realize you'd actually finished quite a lot more the last time.

Now do finish it twice as quick or be twice as lazy?

Still not sure how I feel about it, but think I'm more pleased than any other feeling.

First full day back in the office since 26 March.

(been working from home, pleased to have a job, pleased to not have been affected adversely, but not pleased that things will likely return to how it was, when this time has shown that working from home can be as effective)

Still working from home, got the sound system on, playing my Endless Mix as youtube music calls it at mid volume. While sitting staring at green on black terminals :-).
Strangely enough today is where I am starting to feel a bit more normal.

Glad CRT's are not with us anymore.

Faffing around with a multi-monitor setup, want to set up Veeam ONE Community edition in virtual machines and monitor remote site performance from office via VPN. If it works, will show manglement what we can monitor etc and take it from there wrt licencing etc.

First testing on a local site to see what traffic requirements are like and whether it is feasible before testing on a production server.

I can imagine the heat 4 or 5 CRT's must give off, esp without aircon...

Oh yeah no thanks.

Public holiday in the week you return to the office.

And as an added benefit, I'll be working from home on Friday.

When you get good aftercare service from doctors, surgeons, dentists etc. When they happy to take your call and chat about things & don't charge you for popping in to chat to them.
