2x 350w PV panelsWhat system did you end up with?
That is a bit low for true off grid, that will cover you for a few hours, but a good start2x 350w PV panels
2x 102Ah deep cycle batteries
1x 3000w inverter/regulator
Will post specs of the inverter/regulator tomorrow. Read through its manual, it got a ton of good features + USB interface.
Very impressed with it.
Will have to see how it goes for a week or so, if the system struggle a wee bit, we'll have to get an extra PV panel and battery. But so far it looks good.
Edit : our power consumption is minimal we have two other PV systems, one with a 20w and another with a 30w PV panel for charging of cellphones and provide light.
Edit2 : eat your heart out eskom, we will not go back to you.

Newer fridges are quite efficient, though they can use about 3 times their load when the motor kicks in.What kind of fridge is it? Always thought fridges were power hungry.
Nice, I'm also interested in details, but perhaps not in this thread? Maybe post in the electricity forum and link here?2x 350w PV panels
