Things that please you...

Tiring but satisfying We have a little bit more to move, a while to unpack and a lot of setup to do but we’ll get there. Our son loves his new house and the dogs are getting used to all the sights, sounds and smells.

Awesome, enjoy.

Once you're in the new place there's plenty of time to unpack but there's always that one thing you need that you just can't find :)

For me it was the charger for my toothbrush.

I have had two spam calls recently regarding me being a Vodacom customer, one for a contract 'upgrade' and the other for a Black Friday special. Both had the same modus operandi, not asking whether I am interested but rather going straight in to the offer and then asking whether I would like a device delivered to my home or office or information so they can sign me up over the phone. I play along simply saying OK until there is an obvious question to which I reply no and the spammer get's upset...

We should do this:

We are still unpacking and doing some repacking, with a few odds and ends still at the old house which we are moving every day as it is being painted before my BIL moves in. We are slowly getting there, trying to unpack at night after our son goes to sleep and do other things like setup internet, WiFi, smart plugs, TV's, etc. Biggest thing I miss at the moment is our ESS, even though we have a generator which is useful we only use it during the day and it guzzles diesel so will cost a small fortune to run. It has been a big change for our son, who had a tonsillectomy nearly two weeks ago, he is settling down but has asked if we can go home a few times while being in our new home.

Brave little boy, luckily they heal quickly :)

Are you having a solar system installed in the new place?

How old is he? Cause for any child under 6 it's a big step up, even our son when he was 6 asked that once or twice when we moved. They grew up in the place so they get really attached.

Yep, we have the challenge now of getting him back to his eating, drinking and sleeping routine, along with him having learned how to get out of his sleep sack, climb out his bed and come find us

Yes, busy with finalising a system, we'll keep the diesel generator for now though.

He is 2 years and 3 months, so it has been a hectic last two weeks for him, between the tonsillectomy and moving from the only house he has ever known but he is settling in.
