Things that please you...

Not that I've managed to run my pump properly without sunScreenshot_20231215_221515_eWeLink.jpg

Someone who borrowed R15k from me in 2001 sent me an email from his new home in England where he has been living with his brother asking for my bank details

A week later he deposited £2000 and asked for details of the balance. His sister who lives here said she thought the brother had come into some money, but had no details

I thought the fellow had died. He ran a small antique shop but it burned down and he had no insurance

Had a guy try brake check me the other night, about 3 or 4 times, but I was about 6 or 7 car lengths behind him in a 60 zone. The roads were otherwise deserted.

Dunno why but it made me chuckle a bit.

What’s the story though? Random parkjng lot incident? Premeditated opportunity?
The protest we did on Thursday, someone decided to drive at me. He got a cone through his windscreen as instinct took over.
His boss came on scene brandishing what looks like a gun, quickly hid it when people had cameras on him

I must have missed the part about the protest if you posted it on MyBB somewhere but again, WTF!

What process did you follow, what were the costs and timelines?

We got an incorrect disconnection notice due to outstanding amount, they cut our power, my dad got pissed. He went to City Power in Boysens, spoke to a manager and asked to be put on Prepaid. They charged R1500 for the Prepaid meter and installation, took about 5 weeks.

Then this week we got a final notice for payment pending disconnection for R13k.

They smoking some kak there.

Yes. My bill went from R2500-R3200 to a R1000.

How long did it take yours to register?

Guy installed it at 9 and said it will be registered in 3 hours, it's still not linked and we can't purchase any units. Luckily it still has most of the complimentary 30 units left.

Mine wasn't CoC. But from a direct Eskom connection based on estimates to a prepaid system in new place.

It should take at most a few hours. You might need to log another call if it still isn’t working
