Things that please you...

Three lovely incidents in the last week or so:

Bike accident in Lesotho; "A taxi stopped at the scene and a wonderful man saw that my dad was injured and that he could not breathe. He got out and helped him immediately and by this he saved my dad’s life because he was suffocating from the helmet that moved and was now closing is airway. They then loaded him in the taxi and took him to the nearest (I also think the smallest) hospital. The man who saved him then stayed with dad the whole time and even rode in the ambulance with him all the way to Maseru and made contact with mom and them but he still didnt have much details regarding injuries etc."

Bike accident in Eswatini; "The barman from Piggs Peak, who is a friend of mine was waiting at the hospital for me. He brought his brother with him who he left there to look after me whilst I was in the hospital. His brother slept on the floor next to my bed the whole time I was there, assisting me to the toilet or with anything I needed. Swazis are amazing people and I am eternally grateful to these special people. Gustav and Louis organised my evacuation so efficiently and cared for me well whilst I lay next to the roadside. I was truly surrounded by Angels."

Bike topbox lost in Jhb; "There are still some good people. July stopped his cement truck and picked it up in Parklands and brought it home. EVERYTHING is there. Nothing missing."

Bells all round methinks. Africa; good people, bad leaders.

OMG that is hectic. Firstly - really glad that you and your dad are fine. It is amazing how kind people can be - how they are willing to give of their time to ensure others are ok. You were indeed lucky and blessed to have those people come into your lives.

Went in to view a candidate's profile, I've got messages, invitations, I've been tagged, poked, I'm pretty sure someone threw a sheep at me. It's like early Face Book up in there!

Reminds me of the time Noraly had an accident with her motorcycle in Africa, the locals were quite helpful.

When you hear of stories of people getting raped/robbed after an accident here in South Africa, it makes you go all WTF.

Yep, Itchy Boots.

Waiting for her new adventures to start. She's deliberately keeping her posts two weeks behind.

I think it is to avoid stalkers etc.
 
VMware customers all in a big frothy because Broadcom's tightening the screws.

I don't think that'll work out in Broadcom's favour, it is short-term gain, but extremely risky in the long-term.

Expect a mass defection to happen.
 
My new hearing aids.

Through circumstances I was forced to upgrade after 6 years with the old pair. But what an amazing difference in audio quality. And then there is listening to Spotify (Oxygene 3) from my phone directly into my ears. Such a huge difference. So happy :love:
 
@Creag have you seen all the rain happening in Cape Town right now? I saw a post people houses are flooded in Cape Town it's really crazy. Is it raining where you are?
